The Brits topped the foreign buyers market in 2017 with property purchases exceeding 9,000. A total of 464,223 properties exchanged hands in Spain last year, approximately 60,860 of which were bought by non-Spaniards, according to new definitive data published by Spain’s property registrars.

The latest Spanish data for property sales to foreign buyers shows UK nationals lead the way. In the third quarter (Q3) of the year, a total of 119,000 properties were sold in Spain, representing an increase of 15.6% on the same period last year, according to Spain’s registrars.
